“This is one of the first of these weird astronaut portraits, this one is made of left over paint and was built up after weeks and weeks of dumping what would normally have gone into the trash onto the canvas. The original was 30x40” and this piece has inspired 50-100 commissions in every color imaginable.”
This print is made to order, just for you. This allows us to offer a much wider selection of Mike's work in multiple sizes with the downside being that it will take a few days to ship out. Most print orders will ship in 3-5 business days (a week or less). If you are also ordering original art you can expect that to be hand packed and shipped by Mike immediately and the orders will arrive separately.
This is an official limited Mike Wehner art print, only 125 total prints will be made and they are printed on musuem quality matte fine art paper. This print will ship in a tube, unframed. Mike uses the MW monogram as his signature and it is sometimes hidden int he piece. This edition is not numbered, Mike doesn’t want the later prints to feel bad about themselves and feels it’s an antiquated convention.. The technical details of the paper can be found below.
